A UV-C sterilization light is installed within your HVAC equipment, to help inhibit the growth of microbial, bacteria, and other microorganisms that can accumulate in dark, damp environments.
How It Works
UV-C light targets microorganisms at the DNA level, disrupting their ability to reproduce. Installed properly, it continuously treats the air passing through your system as well as the internal components where biological growth is most common.
A surge protected disconnect adds built-in protection at your outdoor HVAC unit to help guard against electrical surges entering the system.
It helps protect against voltage spikes caused by lightning, utility grid switching, and general power fluctuations.
Installed directly at the equipment, it reduces the risk of damage to key components such as the compressor and control board.
A soft starter is an electronic device installed on your HVAC system to control how the compressor starts up. Instead of allowing the compressor to start at full electrical load instantly, it gradually ramps power to the motor over a fraction of a second.
This reduces the inrush current (startup amperage spike) that typically occurs when compressors start, especially in heat pumps and air conditioners with fixed-speed compressors.
How it works
At startup, HVAC compressors can briefly draw 5–8 times their normal running amperage. A soft starter limits this initial surge by temporarily controlling voltage and current, then transitioning the compressor to normal operation once it is running smoothly.
